PocketKnife Travel (“the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data — by not collecting it.

1. No Data Collection

PocketKnife Travel does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• We do not track usage behavior, device information, or user identity.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or cloud-based user accounts.
• All data you enter (trips, itineraries, packing lists, expenses, saved links) is stored exclusively on your device using local storage and never leaves it.

2. Third-Party Services

The Currency Converter feature makes network requests to Frankfurter (api.frankfurter.dev), a free exchange rate API powered by European Central Bank data. No account is required and no user-identifiable information is ever sent — requests contain only the currency codes being converted. Fetched rates are cached locally on your device for up to 6 hours to minimize network usage and support offline operation.

The Maps feature uses Apple’s native Maps app via a standard deep link. No data is transmitted to Apple beyond what Apple Maps itself handles when you choose to open it.

3. Location Data

PocketKnife Travel does not request access to your device’s location and never transmits location data to us or any third party.

4. Children’s Privacy

PocketKnife Travel is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in functionality or legal requirements. Updates will be posted within the App and/or on our support page.
