PocketKnife Tools (“the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data — by not collecting it.

1. No Data Collection

PocketKnife Tools does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• We do not track usage behavior, device information, or user identity.
• All preferences, saved cities, watchlists, and settings are stored locally on your device.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or cloud-based user accounts.

2. Third-Party Services

To provide certain features, PocketKnife Tools uses the following external APIs:

• Google Translate API: Used to translate text between languages. Requests are anonymous and contain only the text and target language.
• Frankfurter API: Used to retrieve live currency exchange rates. No personal data is transmitted.
• Open-Meteo API: Used to retrieve weather forecasts based on coordinates you provide. No personal data is transmitted.
• Finnhub API: Used to retrieve real-time stock quotes and company data. No personal data is transmitted.

These services may log requests for performance or security purposes. We do not send any user-identifiable information.

3. Location Data

The Compass and Weather tools may request access to your device’s location. This data is used solely on-device to provide compass headings and local weather. It is never transmitted to us or any third party beyond the weather API request.

4. Children’s Privacy

PocketKnife Tools is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in functionality or legal requirements. Updates will be posted within the App and/or on our support page.
